Sure, you could rock a capelet or a pencil skirt, but an easier way to wear houndstooth is on your fingernails (à la Snooki). The Jersey Shore star wore the classic black-and-white pattern on her digits while attending the 69th Washington Auto Show conference on Jan. 31. Unless you have the steadiest hand on the planet, it’s near impossible to get this funky look (which works well with a Hello Kitty ring, too) with regular old nail polish. STEP 1: File clean nails and swipe them with a little nail polish remover to wipe away any oils.

STEP 2: Select the best fitting strip for each nail and remove the backside of the strip.

STEP 3: Gently stretch the strip for a perfect fit and to help prevent hard-to-remove air bubbles. Firmly smooth the strip over the entire nail.

STEP 4: Form a crease around the tip of the nail to remove the excess strip and use a nail file to smooth the tip of nail.

STEP 5: Apply a clear top coat to the nail and the tip. Repeat on remaining nails.

AIU Holdings: AIG Creates New Name To Avoid PR DisasterHuffington Post by Stuart WhatleyMarch 23, 2009 02:37 PM
Following up Ryan Grim’s report from Congress last week that AIG chief Edward Liddy was looking to change the company’s “thoroughly wounded and disgraced” name, it appears as though words are being put into action.
The massive insurance operation will henceforth be known as AIU Holdings, Ltd., a process that began this past weekend with the removal of the large, front-end AIG sign from the its Manhattan office.
According to Reuters:
The signage is outside the company’s Water Street offices, around the corner from AIG’s Pine Street headquarters, which has long only been marked by an understated brass plaque inscribed “American International Building.”
AIG has said it may sell the headquarter building, as part of its drive to raise funds to repay its debt to the U.S. government.

We think AIG should change their name to GAG. They will only have to buy one vowel, which is about all they can afford.
